Dr. Shane impressed me with her ability to explain throughly and simply my issue so that I could understand. The simple treatment is working. She spent enough time to answer my questions. Everyone in the office seemed very professional, kind, and knowledgeable.

I am new to the area and initially liked Dr. Shane's experience at Rice University in bi-engineering in Houston, at Baylor Medical, and even more so her experience at Bascom Palmer Eye Institue in Miami. Her explanation of my eye conditions was very clear and undestandable. And she stayed to answer my several other questions, very helpful. Her staff was outstanding. Technical staff Emma and Hanna were both courteous and efficient in getting my preliminary tests done. And the front desk staff were courteous and helpful. Sami the vision tech did a good job on my pre-exam preparation and Visual Field Test. Dr. Anita found a couple of items that needed review and referred me to a specialist for that next step. I have been to a couple of Opthalmologists in Venice and neither were great experiences, Particularly at Center for sight, I was always there for several hours every time, the Dr. always rushed through the appointment with little explanation and eyes dilated so much, I had to have a driver and I could never see very well until the next morning, even though I asked for less dilation. Then I found Dr. Shane, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! She exceeded my expectations, takes the time to explain medically the current situation and expectations for future treatments, if necessary. Staff is very competent and friendly and you are NEVER left waiting. Your in an out usually within an hour or so. Oh and she doesn't over dilate my eyes, I can drive myself home (with very very dark sunglasses 😎). If your in need of an opthalmologist, look no further!! I highly recommend Dr Shane you won't be disappointed!!

You saved my eyes! Just a little over a year ago Dr Gabriel performed the bubble procedure to address a detached retina. Today after seeing my retina specialist in Huntsville AL, we all agree that Gabriel did a great job. It was truly a blessing finding you while vacationing in Venice.
